Alfa Arte Foundry collaborated with contemporary artist Daniel Canogar to bring Shuttle to life—a 6 x 9 metre, 1,000 kg spiralling sculpture suspended in the Welcome Centre of Red Sea International Airport. The piece features ribbon-like LED screens displaying generative visuals inspired by Sadu weaving, driven by real-time environmental data such as wind and ocean currents.
Our work included technical development, bespoke structural fabrication, and precise integration of the LED system. We engineered a lightweight internal frame and modular assembly to allow for international transport, ensuring smooth on-site installation.
The result: a fluid, data-responsive sculpture that merges tradition and technology, offering travellers a dynamic tribute to the region’s cultural and natural heritage.
