FORGOTTEN STREAMS

Bloomberg’s European Headquarters, London, UK

Forgotten Streams is a large-scale sculptural installation by Cristina Iglesias, one of the most renowned figures in international contemporary art. Located at the entrance of Bloomberg’s headquarters in London, the work reimagines the presence of hidden rivers that continue to flow beneath the city’s surface.

Composed of bronze panels shaped to resemble eroded riverbeds and organic textures, the installation allows water to circulate gently across its surface. Iglesias creates a visual narrative in which sculpture, nature, and the urban environment coexist—bringing to light the layers of history obscured by modern development.

This public sculpture invites passers-by to pause, look down, and reconnect with an unseen, fluid London. Forgotten Streams is not merely a decorative gesture but a poetic intervention that activates memory, place, and a renewed awareness of natural flows within the city.

The work has become a landmark in contemporary public art, combining the timelessness of bronze with a conceptual and site-specific approach.
