At Alfa Arte, we brought to life Atlas, a stainless steel sculpture by renowned artist Daniel Canogar. This striking piece pays tribute to the invention of the integrated circuit, using acid-etched patterns taken from hundreds of historical microchips. Each 4×7 cm block is engraved with precision, resembling city maps or digital networks, evoking the visual language of urban systems and modern technology.

Crafted through a meticulous foundry process, the blocks were first cast in stainless steel, then acid-etched, and finished with a PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) coating. Atlas captures the complex beauty of digital topography through material and technique, transforming microelectronic imagery into enduring, sculptural art.
